How to Join NHHN

Become a participating organization of the New Hampshire History Network and make your collections accessible online.

The New Hampshire History Network (NHHN) is a digital catalog featuring collections from institutions across the state. This includes local historical societies, museums, archives, and libraries that collect materials related to the history of New Hampshire.

To participate in NHHN, organizations submit catalog records of their digitized items. Each item must have an associated digital image. Types of materials accepted in NHHN include objects, archives, books, and photographs.

NHHN is currently partnering with organizations using PastPerfect Museum Software as their collections management system. Data crosswalks from PastPerfect have been developed to create a seamless process for organizations to upload their data to NHHN. The crosswalks are based on Dublin Core, and certain catalog fields are required. These required fields, as well as how they relate to PastPerfect users, can be found in the NHHN Metadata Guidelines.

If your organization is interested in joining NHHN, even if your organization does not currently use PastPerfect Museum Software, please contact the New Hampshire Historical Society to learn about current and future opportunities.
